Draft for legal review. These are general terms for the current, beta-stage marketing website. They have not been reviewed by a solicitor, and a fuller set of terms — covering account creation, data connections and subscription billing — will replace them before the product opens to the public.

1. Who we are

This website, salarygenius.com, is operated by McLeod Media Limited, a company registered in Scotland, company number SC877714, with its registered office at Clyde Offices, 2nd Floor, 48 West George Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 1BP. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean McLeod Media Limited, and “you” means anyone using this website.

2. Using this site

By using this website you accept these terms in full. If you disagree with any part of them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time, as described in section 10.

3. Beta status

Salary Genius is currently in private beta and is not open to the public. Features described or shown on this site — including connecting bank accounts, uploading statements, and any figures produced from them — are illustrative of the intended product and are not yet available to visitors. We give no date by which any feature will launch, and we may change, delay or withdraw any part of the planned product at our discretion.

4. Not financial advice

Salary Genius is a financial intelligence tool, not a financial adviser. Nothing on this site, and nothing the product produces once available, is or will be regulated financial, tax or legal advice, and it should not be relied on as such. Always speak to a qualified, regulated adviser before making a financial decision.

5. Accuracy

Figures shown on this site — including the sample household overview, spending categories and salary breakdown — are illustrative examples only and do not represent any real user or outcome. We take reasonable care to keep the site accurate, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free.

6. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, we own the intellectual property rights in this site and its content, including its design, text, and the Salary Genius name and wordmark. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, sell, or otherwise redistribute content from this site without our permission.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use this site:

in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation;
to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or any system or network connected to it;
to introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material; or
to scrape, harvest or otherwise systematically extract data from the site without our permission.

8. Third-party links

This site may link to third-party websites. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content or availability of those sites.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for loss or damage arising from your use of this site, whether direct, indirect or consequential. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time. The version number and date at the top of this page will change when we do, and material changes will be flagged on the site.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
